PAL territories to receive the game in early 2009.

Square Enix today announced that Europe and other PAL territories will finally get their hands on Chrono Trigger for the first time, having missed out on the original SNES release, when it launches on the DS in early 2009.

"It gives me great pleasure to see Chrono Trigger being released in Europe and the PAL territories,” says John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd.

“With its ground breaking story and gameplay, this epic RPG with multiple endings has already won the hearts of many fans and I hope it delights a whole new audience of players into revisiting the Chrono Trigger world time and again."

The DS version of Chrono Trigger promises to include all the role-playing goodness of the original 1995 classic in addition to touch-screen controls, a new playable dungeon, and wireless play options.
